Birding 101: Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Birds.
Do you ever wonder about those colorful red or yellow birds in your patio? Want to know the difference between a warbler and a wren, a Kiskadee and a kingbird? Using full-color photos and recorded songs of birds commonly found in and around San Miguel, Signe Hammer will explore the many ways we can use our eyes and ears to identify them.
While every bird we don’t know is a mystery, birds provide clues to their identities with their colors, shapes, sizes and songs. This presentation is for anyone who’s intrigued by these beautiful, interesting, sometimes funny creatures: non-birders, beginning and experienced birders alike.
Signe Hammer leads birdwalks for Audubon and El Charco. She has been birding in and around San Miguel since 1995, and is thrilled to be able to share her fascination with birds. |
